Gulf Intervention has developed a purpose designed work over and snubbing rig for the MENA region. The rig will move in 10 loads and rig up in 2 to 3 hours. Pipe handling is done with a new and revolutionary dual arm handling system capable of handling 80 to 100 joints per hour and allow the rig to trip pipe at up to 3000 ft per hour making this rig the most efficient work over rig on the market.
This rig design allows tubing deployment into wells under pressure and allows the wells to be safely serviced without having to use kill fluids. The process of tubing deployment involves the insertion and removal of pipe into and out of a well with surface pressure.
An increasing number of oil and gas companies are using light work over rigs as a routine procedure for completions and work-over. The main advantage is that the well does not need to be killed when the work over rig offers a safe and easy alternative. These are highly mobile and very easy to mobilize both offshore and onshore.
